Fredy’s construction experience, knowledge and communication skills set him apart as an outstanding superintendent. He is very good at balancing the needs of his company and the needs of the Subcontractors to make all sides successful. Most recently, we have worked with him on the Terrace Manor project. When we brought up a coordination issue with Fredy, he immediately invited us to the site to do a walk through with him. He listened to our concerns with an open mind, which helped to keep the project on schedule.
Josh Hooper, HITT Contracting
Josh Hooper is being nominated for his extraordinary work as HITT's Super on the Bridge District Douglas project, an 800 unit apartment building developed by Redbrick in SE DC. Josh is extremely knowledgeable on the various building systems and uses that knowledge to effectively schedule and lead the trades. He has a specific way of holding people accountable without being condescending and isn't afraid of having the right conversations. He finds ways to be efficient and push the project to completion. It's this kind of take charge attitude that keeps all subs moving in the same direction and held accountable. The sub community is well deserved by having a strong leader like Josh in the industry.

Is proactive at early schedule planning and detail. Is assertive but open to input and adjustment. Typically follows through on commitments and having preparatory work done in advance. As a Senior Superintendent on an 880+ living unit project over two buildings and 12 acres, dealing with multiple drawing sets and change directives, he is typically well composed in addressing daily issues while maintaining focus on the finish line.

I appreciate how juan approached even difficult issues by being respectful and bringing the right people to the table to discuss the concerns. On safety, juan had a genuine and thoughtful approach to safety. He took the time to communicate any safety concerns to everyone onsite and it was always with sincere intent and not just to cover paper work. Overall Juan was exceptional to work with and executed a great project all around.
